Just wanted to let y’all in on the post that I made on Facebook this afternoon as a lot of inquiring minds are wondering what is going on…well, as you all know CFU started because I took that leap of Faith as I wanted more for myself, my family and others in the community. A couple of months ago I interviewed for a teaching position, but did not get it; that was okay because there was something else planned for my future. Jeramiah 29:11 truly states what has happened in my life. When I attended the Zonta Women of Achievement reception Inwas inspired by ALL of the women’s biographies and said, “Lord, I know I can do more for others.” And I WANT to do more!
This afternoon I had a meeting with an organization which will allow me to help disadvantaged youth in the community. We are going to pilot the program in September. Youth sports is what saved me when I was young and I feel that CrossFit can help save some of these young boys and girls. If this takes off and one kid is “saved” then all of the hard work is worth it!
None of this will affect the present CFU schedule…you will just see the youngsters working out with their own special program. There are still a lot of details that need to be ironed out, but to put it in a nutshell, I feel so Blessed to be given this opportunity to help shape the loves of the youth in our community! If things work out the way I vision it, this will be EPIC!
Thanks for your patience and your prayers! 🙂
