JerryI hope there are a lot of you who show up to do this HERO WOD…I saw the movie “American Sniper” today and I’m even more grateful for the service the men and women of this nation provide for us. Some of our newer members may not know that often CrossFit boxes honor the fallen with “tougher WOD’s” and to push athletes out of their comfort zones…Think of the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for US! You can show up and do what you can do…remember there is no judgment at CFU…just show up and show your gratitude!

Sgt Major Jerry Dwayne Patton, 40, died on 15 October 2008 during High Altitude High Opening (HAHO) training while assigned to Army USSOCOM preparing for deployment to Afghanistan. Jerry is survived by his wife Molly and his sons Chad, Cody, Chase and Connor.
