I saved this little announcement for this month because it’s a special day for this young man on Wednesday-his birthday! It’s also a big month for Louis and his family as this will be his last in Missouri. Louis and family will be headed to sunny California in early November for Louis’ next assignment in the United States Marine Corps.
I first met Louis in December of 2011 after getting a phone call from “Staff Sgt Perez” saying he just got back from Afghanistan and he was doing CF overseas and wanted to start classes.
CFU was in the process of moving into our second location at the end of December and Louis was ever so willing to help in the moving process. I remember after we got the rig installed, he was the first to do a pull-up!
Louis was always the man setting the bar for the class. People joke that once they see his time, they can just figure adding 5-6 minutes to their time bc he is always in beastmode 🙂
Louis decided in 2012 that he wanted to become a trainer and he has become an excellent one at that, helping everyone who has come through CFU’s doors.
Wednesday we celebrate Louis’ birthday and his years of training he has provided for CFU! Luckily I didn’t program 32 wall walks (or Louis walks as we have started calling them!) for his bday WOD!
So here’s a Big Happy Birthday Louis and a Huge Thank You for all you have given to CrossFit Unstoppable!
You are truly going to be missed!(Members, watch for an announcement of a special gathering for Louis and his family!)
